These are typically in a liquid state at room temperature and are primarily used in transportation due to their high energy density

Gaseous fuels—such as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and Hydrogen—deliver comparable horsepower to liquid fuels in modern internal combustion engines
